This is the worst part of growing up.
The death part I can accept and cope with. People die. Pets die. It hurts, but it happens.
But the deaths of childhood icons are one of those things that separate generations.

Date: 2003-02-28 01:23 am (UTC)These things separate generations, but they're also... heroes and role-models, sometimes for both sister and brother, or mother and child. Storybook characters made flesh -- which makes their deaths shake so deeply.
