Why do I have this effect on machines?
Dec. 15th, 2009 09:01 amMy laptop may be dying. Screen goes black, but it still backlit. Nothing will make it come on. I have been turning it off with the power button. I tried leaving it on, so I could close it and see if opening it would help it wake up . . . no go, the machine turns off. Bad switch? Bad power doohickey? Bad logic board?
No clue. It's an iBook G4 and I just seem to have the best luck EVER with the G series.
Anyhow, I can probably occasionally steal Tom's machine for the next few weeks, at least until school starts. But I'm effectively AFK. If you want to talk to me, email me at my username here at explodingcat dot com.
I'll probably try to clean or read a backlog of books. Or just do what I do most days--ride the bus for hours with Ronan.
