Since when are Tuesdays this busy?
Jun. 5th, 2007 06:49 pmBusy day today. I went to dermatology, where a resident confidently informed me that the blistery rash on my arms and the dry/seeping rash (both, yes) on my breast are both eczema. I think she's wrong, but I'll try the triamcinolone for a month. I've had eczema most of my life. If this is eczema, it's unlike any form of eczema I've ever had (and I've had more than one).
Ronan nursed and then slept through that appointment. I had to take the stroller because it's hard to disrobe/show off rashes while holding a baby. I was gonna leave him with Tom, but he neglected to find out how important this morning's phone meeting was.
After lunch, I tossed Ronan in the Zolo and headed downtown. I got a nice two mile walk in and picked up my ointment at CVS. I also stopped in at Atlantic futon to see how common the type of frame I'll want later is (when Ronan is significantly older, we want a bunk with a twin mattress on top and a double futon on bottom). Turns out they make them with additional bells and whistles: drawers, trundles, etc. They assured me that these frames will always be available (and in demand) in C'ville. Cool.
Tom picked us up on the crossing and we headed to North Garden to see the holistic pediatric/chiropractic folks. Ronan had some craniosacral therapy. I'm of the belief that gassiness is normal for a newborn. Tom's of the belief that minor adjustments now will benefit Ronan dramatically later. We're probably both right.
As usual, Tom managed to horrify and amuse the doctor (we're good at this).
krasota, nursing Ronan: I love it when his eyes roll up in his head.
Osteopath: Yeah, that utter bliss is cool (rolls her eyes back and flutters her lashes).
explodingcat: It's like he's a shark. Only they do it to protect their eyes from the bits and pieces of the feeding frenzy.
Osteopath stares at Tom: "no. No. NO. That's NOT what he's doing."
krasota: *laughs*
(This is on the heels of my having sprayed Ronan with milk. Tom does have a point.)
