busy busy busy
Apr. 6th, 2007 04:05 pmSo, I've made a serious dent in the to do list since last week.
B was going to deliver the crib this week, but had to cancel on Wednesday because C(toddler) dislocated her elbow. She had to cancel today because J(husband) took the minivan and all of the hex wrenches, so she couldn't disassemble it completely. They're leaving for Florida tomorrow, so she told me not to go into labor this week. They'll be back in a week. *grins* I'm in no hurry. My house is a mess and I have no place to put a crib at this moment.
I despair of ever finishing up the paint job in the second room. Boy tells me it'll be done this weekend. I couldn't work on the trim at all this week because of Tuesday's asthma attack. :( We had to buy EnviroSafe, instead of ChemSafe, and it doesn't sit very well with me. It's still no-VOC, but it bothers me a bit. It's not as bad as AFM's SafeCoat, though, so that's a plus.
We'll finish the window trim tonight and maybe paint the ceiling. Tomorrow, the bottom half of the wall + second coat on the ceiling. Later tomorrow, the second coat for the wall. Sunday, the trim around the floor/doors. After that dries, a light sanding and one more trim coat, and we're done. I can clean the floors and start assembling furniture. Once we have that room back, I can also get to the sewing machine.
While the paint is drying, I might have to talk boy into an Ikea run for a baby mattress and some lights. It'll depend on whether I can find someone to check on the poodle while we're out.
I've kept up on laundry pretty well this week, though I have a pile of blankets and undies to fold sitting in front of me. I also have a pile of empty boxes to get to
bedbugsbite.
I think I'll go cut a piece of wood to about 40" with my box miter. Then I can mark around the wall in the second room.
