frolicking poodle day
Feb. 7th, 2007 06:09 pmIt snowed a little. It's glorious and beautiful. Now that the sun has gone down, the world is a deep navy blue. Amazing.
I like February. It's almost always *winter* in February in the places I've lived. January may suck, March may bite, but February is always wintry and wonderful and all too short.
I often had snow for my birthday growing up. February, of course. :)
Jericho loves the snow. He plays in it, bites it, dances. He leaps and cavorts and his ears fly in the air. Then he comes inside and gazes wistfully out the window until we go out and do it all over again.
If it keeps getting warmer every year, I want to move north. Boy says that's crazy. I want to move someplace where winter isn't forgotten. I need wintry days. I need snow. I need ice. I need the kind of cold wind that nips and bites. And hey, the poodle likes it.
