i still see the dotted line
Sep. 3rd, 2006 01:13 amDrive went well, though we got really stircrazy around Sandusky. I really don't like the Ohio turnpike, despite the Starbucks and nice bathrooms. It's all neverending, especially in the rain.
The drive went well until we got to our exit. I read the signs and turned south on CR 17. After a mile, I turn right at the next light. Um, no. Not the right road. Do a U-ie. Get back on CR 17. See the river. Become convinced that I'm going the wrong way, turn around. Head back the other direction, which is, indeed, North. I do not want to go to Michigan. Turn around again. Go back past the turnpike, past the first wrong turn, over the river. Keep driving, completely bewildered until a couple familiar sights turn up, drive until CR 18 appears. Give a sigh of relief, turn right, turn left on old CR 17, and happily pull into the driveway a couple minutes later. Drive from turnpike to driveway on a normal day: 10 minutes. Tonight: 30 minutes.
I got lost in Indiana of all places. I thought that was impossible. I was just here this past spring. *sigh*
Anyhow, had eggs, brought in pajamas and toothbrush. Time to use them.
