hats hat hats
Nov. 17th, 2005 01:24 amI made
explodingcat a hat today. He wanted a red hat to wear to bed when it gets cold. He seems to think it will serve as camoflage. I couldn't find a red yarn I could stand to look at for two hours, so I bought Lion Brand Thick & Quick in Ozarks. I let the brim roll naturally. It's pretty cute.
I started a hat for myself. Moda Dea Aerie in Denim. It's super soft. I should make myself a dress, using 438940234 balls of it. Then I can pet myself allllll day long.
The knifty knitter looms are awesome. The only pain I get is thumb pain, and only if I over do it. The jiffy thick and quick was a bit stiff (no stretch in acrylic) and if I wound it too tightly, I felt it in my shoulder and neck, but if I kept an eye on it as I wound it, I had no problems.
I made myself a scrunchie, but I don't care for it. I think I'll pick out the binding and gather it into a bun cover. Or maybe leave it as is and make a second and turn them into decorative fake cuffs. Hrmmmm. . .
eilonwy gave me a knitted hedgehog. It's so adorable. It's also an incorrigible kisser and kept slurping boy. What can I say, he's a hedge magnet.
