I'm on the precipice of a major crash and in the throes of a worse flare than usual. I seem to be pulling away from the brink of the crash, though, the pain of the flare isn't subsiding. It never does. I was able to drive yesterday for a short period and I was able to get to and from the coffeeshop today. Still can't make it to the grocery store--WF is just too far away. We have plenty of food, though.

I think some of the candy I bought for Hallowe'en has hidden gluten in it. My scalp is on fire and hideous and nasty. I'm rashy elsewhere, too, but it's my scalp that drives me mad. Oh, well, my teeth and stomach don't need the candy, anyhow. Now that I'm sure it's the candy, I definitely won't eat anymore--it's not worth the risk. I'll make boy take more to [livejournal.com profile] wanderyng1's D&D campaign next week.

Saw [livejournal.com profile] ez_mo and the kids yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] eilonwy last night. Jenna drove to the stitch & bitch, so we had knitting chat and such. It was a nice evening--I just wished I'd been able to remember Ali's number when I tried to call (major brain fog).

I hate Daylight Savings switchovers. We don't have DST in the part of Indiana where I grew up. As such, the seasonal changes were gradual--no sudden jumps of daylight in one direction or another. I didn't know anyone with SAD, either, but that might've just been a chance occurence during my idyllic childhood. Now, all of a sudden, it's dark at suppertime. I like night, but I dislike sudden changes. I wish the country would pick one time system or another and stick with it. Plus, I keep underestimating sunset, so I can't make it to the dogpark on time. I need to pay more attention to the sky during the day.

Without the laptop, I've been reading a lot. That's good, especially since I haven't been able to move much from the couch. Apple is replacing it, but they can't provide a complete backup of the old one. We're going to try to boot it up as an external drive if we can find a friend with enough HD space to move a large chunk at once. Moving bits and pieces is fine, except we never know when the connection will up and die. We have some pretty sensitive info on the machine and need to get it off before we ship it back to Apple.

Time to go rest again and read a bit. I'll try to pull together some food in a bit. My latté will keep me going for awhile, but solid food would be good, too.
