Tonight's kitchen battle:

explodingcat: an exquisitely prepared crusted catfish fillet
krasota: steamed broccoli with a creamy pumpkin walnut sauce.

While explodingcat wins points for presentation and skill, he made a critical error when he assumed the no-name seasoned salt was generic Old Bay. This rendered the fish nearly inedible.

krasota wins the day with her innovative and quite tasty vegetable dish, full of plump raisins and delicately scented with five-spice powder. It goes quite nicely with the side dish of wild rice.
