silliness and dinner.
Jun. 22nd, 2005 05:19 pmThanks to my brother, boy and I are having a retrospective of favorite flash video silliness. At the moment, Hatten ar din is blasting from his speakers (he has a subwoofer and little "surround" sound speakers hooked up to his computer).
Anyhow, tonight is lazy dinner. I sauteed onion, garlic, and a few baby carrots in a dutch oven in olive oil. Stirred in some cumin, then I added one large can of hominy (drained), one can of fire-roasted tomatoes with chilies, one can of navy beans (rinsed and drained), and a small can of chipotle sauce. It looked thin, so I put in a small can of tomato juice. I added fresh herbs from the garden (thyme, purple basil, oregano) and covered it all up and put it in the oven at about 325 for 45 minutes.
I'm eating it with fresh tortilla chips and sour cream. Tasty.
