My laptop (lombard bronze powerbook g3 from 1999) is making weird noises. The next time I turn it on, I shall back everything up to this machine (the iBook). Needless to say--I'm not turning it on much at all.
Buying a new iBook isn't in the budget right now, since buying a new house *is*. Our contract was accepted and now everything is riding on the inspection and the lender's appraisal. The paperwork is all submitted, so now it's the nail-biting and waiting time.
So, I probably won't be online much, as the iBook needs either (a) work done on the ethernet card (it's loose/shifty and isn't a fix I can do myself as it's attached to the logic board, I'm told); or (b) a wireless card. Since the second option requires having a wireless station thingy, that's probably not going to happen just yet, either.
Anyhow, I bought a little espresso pot yesterday. Hopefully, this will help cut down on coffee shop expenditures, as those are NOT a good budget item to have out of nowhere. The cost of the pot is equivalent to what I spend on lattes in a week. I think it will be a wise purchase. Next paycheck, perhaps I'll get my own grinder. I ground the beans too finely at the store for this pot. Poo.
Off to heat up some milk. As I am lacking hazelnut syrup, I shall have to turn to frangelico. Since it's after noon, I think that's acceptable.
