So far today, I have:

  • woken up at the ungodly hour of 8:30am

  • walked a check down to the postbox

  • filled the bird feeders

  • cleaned out one bird feeder with the hose, discovering in the process that i forgot to take my really nice nozzle off this winter and it broke during one of the freezes

  • thought about showering

  • made a cup of tea for myself and one for boy

  • taken the butter out of the fridge so i can have buterbrodi

I'm not too upset about the lack of sleep (I went to bed at 3am, lately I've been going to bed at midnight). I have an EMG today and I'm more numb/tingly/zappy when I'm feeling crappy, which I am. Lack of sleep + lots of travel/stress + fibro = achy, zappy jos.

I should shower so that I'm mostly dry by the EMG. Boy also has an appointment today to get his creeping toe ick looked at.

The zanaflex seems to be helping sleep. My pain levels are still high, but I've been travelling. Travelling always makes the pain worse, though I can handle it. I need to try to get myself to the pool tomorrow. Also, I really need to find a latex-free swimsuit. *sigh* I hate breaking out from the leg binding.

I also have the electrical zappy nerve thing. It's interesting. It doesn't make a big difference in my neck/back, but when I hook the electrodes up to my legs, they feel much better the next day.

normal, normal, normal.

so normal that the nerve which was abnormal two years ago is normal today.

*rolls eyes*

this is why my last neurologist wanted biopsies done to look at the small fibers. i was just a bit too under the weather to make the drive to Baltimore (Johns Hopkins--Georgetown couldn't do the biopsies themselves) that week.

ah, well. it hurt more this time, but it wasn't unbearable. it's still not as bad as, say, sitting in the car for a few hours or walking a ways. and i left the hospital with a red face eerily reminiscent of my UV allergy. that better not be recurring. i'll be a very unhappy krassie. believe it or not, when goths *absolutely cannot be exposed to UVA*, they get rather fond of old Sol. you know, it's all the angst and yearning for what we cannot have.
so, i was looking up moon halos on my favorite site when i decided to explore more than i usually do and click on some offsite links i found some really nifty pics detailing everything from halos to life in siberia.

ah, yes... and tonight, i saw a 22ยบ halo and a part of a parhelic circle, too. of course, there was also a corona.
