i made those cookies known as either russian tea cakes or mexican wedding cookies...

i used the recipe in my better homes & gardens cookbook.

i might've overcooked them by a minute, but they're good... and i'm covered in confectioner's sugar...

I've just put the second load of the day into the washing machine. I'm going to do all the laundry today. ALL OF IT. The sheets and towels will wait until after boy is done working, as they require hot water and that would just make his office a little warmer. It's warm enough with the sun and dryer.

I need to buy more white vinegar (laundry), cider vinegar (my hair), and butter (more cookies). I'm going to make chocolate chip cookies (yay kosher for passover chocolate chips!) to take to the beach next week.

I also need to remember to pick up my Nexium. The heartburn is starting to rumble, which isn't surprising, since I require near constant doses of naproxen to survive the first couple days of my period.

I might have to see Johnny English this summer.

I think I'll see if blackradish would like to join me on my brief grocery jaunt.

I'm also going to clean the bathroom, I hope. It might not happen, since being up and bending over *that* much might make the cramps too unhappy.

I could also swing by red_frog's place and offer her dusty cookies. You home today?

third load is in the washer for a second rinse (undies)...
first load (jeans and shorts and boy's assorted trousers) is folded and waiting to be put away. second load is in the dryer.

i bought vinegar, pseudoephedrine, more enchilada sauce (yum), colby, seitan, quorn links, and butter.

i put the dishes away. right now i'm resting, then i'll go do some more.

i've put beans on to boil, then i'll let them soak for a few hours.

i should plan dinner soon.

i'm going to call xiane and offer her a ride home from work tonight. it's very hot and humid and i know she hasn't been feeling well.

i was going to stop by, blackradish, but i ended up with just an hour to do stuff (i dropped boy off at the gym and had to pick him up again). i'm trying to stay home and do housework right now. you are more than welcome to come over--we have AC. ;) we're on elliott. Cross Monticello and keep walking down Rialto. After a few blocks, you'll come to Elliott. Cross Elliott, then turn right and walk up to 720. It's small and yellow, about halfway down the block. Ring the bell and we'll come running.
