oooof, so achy.

i shouldn't have danced to that last song, but i HAD to.

anyhow... i think i'm going to go clean the kitchen. i've put it off for an hour and a half, since rat_bastard is sleeping in the guest room. he'll just have to wake up. ;)

i think i'll make dal and some potato croquettes for lunch, too.

nothingoth is supposed to stop by today. i told him we'd be home, as we have much cleaning and yardwork to do.

Indian food!

This afternoon, I fed explodingcat, rat_bastard, nothingoth, and myself.

I was in a cooking mood...

Indian Style Potato Croquettes
tarka dal
fried cabbage

I added black mustard seeds, kalonji, and curry leaves to the cabbage.

I also made mint chutney and (cucumber) raita. I keep store-bought tamarind chutney on hand.

It was all quite yummy and made enough that we have some leftovers. :)

I thought about making a lentil curry sauce to serve over hard boiled eggs, but decided to skip 'em. The dal provide some protein. :)

The last time rat_bastard was here, we left him alone with ismene and our remote control for the Dish Receiver disappeared. After a few weeks of searching for it (searching the couch, rooms, dollhouse, etc), we just switched receivers, moving the spare receiver into the living room and putting the remote-less one into the guest room.

Well, guess who visited again? Yes, rat_bastard... guess what's missing? yeah. the remote for the second receiver.

but guess what i found, buried NOT deeply in the couch at all? the OTHER remote.

Will, I have your leather jacket. I'm holding it hostage until I get the second remote back.
