despite having an echocardiogram done, getting out of the cardio's office late, and taking forfuckinever to drive home (and we had the HOV lane advanatages), all ended well.

jeff was waiting for us (he'd driven in before rush hour got nasty to avoid sitting in non-HOV hideousness. i felt bad that he'd waited for so long (it was 7 before we arrived--we also needed groceries, so we'd stopped at whole foods), but he was okay.

he brought me a birthday cake! first time he'd ever made carrot cake, so he was kinda worried (for no good reason--it was yummy).

anyhow, i got busy in the kitchen. i made a cheese, pasta, and root veggie casserole, salad, etc... jeff and i snacked on sushi (veggie) while boy helped me by cutting veggies. then we all sat down to buffy.

the casserole was little dry--i'll try less tapioca flour next time. i'm trying to find cornstarch replacements. obviously a 1:1 substitution won't work, but now i know. :) the casserole was still edible.

we watched a bit of the olympics, i made a cream cheese frosting for the cake, and jeff and i feasted on smurfy-blue carroty yumminess. it was a wonderful smurfday cake.

it was nifty.

i need to get showered and dressed soon. it's CT scan day. i'm not too worried, i just hope the tech can find a NON-bruised spot to insert the IV dye. i can actually still see the spot i had done a little over a month ago for this same procedure.

the doc said i'm looking great and seem to have a lot of energy. i told her i have as much as any PWC can have and that i'm actually doing okay so long as i get 8-13 hours of sleep a night and sometimes take a nap. she looked concerned, but i reminded her, once again, that i have CFIDS. this is normal. and this is LUCKY. i drove myself to her office, parked a block away, and walked in on platforms. i'm doing pretty damn well.
