when is the peak?

and are you using a telescope, or just watching?

all you need for meteors are fairly dark skies (okay, so i'm a purist, you can probably see a few not far from the city). i'll set out a tarp (to keep spiders off us), lawn chairs, and blankets, since the evenings have been chilly lately. we might be fine in jeans and flannel, though, and likely that's what we'll go with.

perseus rises in the north east.

basically, look east (toward the horizon) from casseiopeia (the big W near the little dipper). :)

the shower peaks monday night, but any clear night between now and wednesday should afford a decent number of meteors (in darker skies).

and i no longer have a telescope. i had one as a kid, though. i currently use my ancient binoculars i got when i was seven. i'm going to see if i can budget an upgrade, though. now that i live in dark sky country, i'm in heaven. :)
