Busy busy bees. Of course, bees make Ronan scream.

Today's off to a good start, despite the wilting weather.

Still need to work on Ronan's garden, assemble compost bins, and arrange for rain barrel. Some of that will happen tomorrow.

Right now I'm nursing at the keyboard. Ronan is alternating between boobs and iced mint tea. I should make the mint tea less strong. The sensation is rather . . . startling.

We think Ronan's bee fear is similar to his fear of robots. Tom and I have always happily greeted the bees. Ronan runs screaming. He's not cool with noisy toys, automated toys, nor remote controlled cars, though. We think this is similar: "I can't see how it thinks, therefore it wants to kill me."

Crazy kid. He's cool with pictures of bees, bee hives at the museum, and shirts with robots on them.

the neighbor child had a truck that moved on it's own and talked when Tatiana was 2. She was petrified of the thing. Wanted NO part of it at all even turned off. She hated it. She was never a fan of toys that moved on their own without her input.

Poor Ronan.

THe kid ain't wrong; those things probably all DO want to kill him. Especially if you include things like bears with bees, and traffic with remote-controlled cars. It's just a matter of sorting out the proper level of wariness.
