If any of you yarn addicts would like to point me toward a self-striping yarn that doesn't contain wool, I'd be quite grateful.

I've noticed that self-striping kind of depends on what your project is.

And now comes the part where none of the self-striping non-wool yarns come in colorways I *like*.
Ah, well. For the time being, I'll use solid colors, anyway, but I wanted to know for the future.

be careful to pick a somewhat stretchy, more flexible yarn. some cottens are very tight, which makes them (for me anyway) more difficult to knit with, which means my wrists get strained more easily.
what colors are you looking for? if i see any you might like i can tell you about them.
