Mar. 1st, 2003 05:33 pmPot of chili is simmering on the stove... boy is in the shower. I'm trying to decide what to wear tonight.
I've had a vague feeling of motion sickness for a few days. I rarely get carsick--I get really headachy and nauseous and dizzy if I try to *read* in the car, but I'm otherwise fine in boats, planes, cars, etc. I think maybe my blood pressure is too low, which would explain the falling down and headaches and vague feeling of nausea and vertigo... I'll have to remember to put lots of salt on my bowl of chili. And I should probably get myself a coke, because caffeine + cola do wonders for headaches, sinus stuff, and tummy blahs.
I'm not *sick*, per se... I'm just not having a good time with the chronic illness stuff.
I'm hoping I feel better tonight. :) I won't be able to stay downstairs and watch the band if they play much in the bass range (that's a surefire way to make me feel icky), but I'd like to see folks.
Maybe I should ask boy if we can go to the gas station/chicken/egg roll place and grab a coke for me *now*, rather than waiting til later. Well, when he gets out of the shower, maybe I will.
The chili should help matters, too. I know--weird tummy, but chili does wonders for my crappy tummy days.
There's also a distinct possibility that I'm feeling the woes of not eating enough the past few days. I've been too tired to cook and I don't know what I want, so boy can't really help. Since I keep different hours, I can't do much when he's asleep.

Date: 2003-03-03 12:32 pm (UTC)This particular gas station is pretty nice. It seems to be family owned. They have a decent little grocery (typical country convenience store--vienna sausages, motor oil, chips, drinks, virginia hams), a small booze section (including 40s of Smirnoff Ice), and a little deli counter. At the counter, one can buy fried chicken (mom and dad and tom say it's *really* good, some of the best), taters (potato wedges, spiced/battered and fried), egg rolls, corn dogs, and bread/biscuits. They also have some salads (potato, etc). Peanut and ham, of course, are readily available, as this *is* virginia.
They're always really nice when we go in. And they don't give me weird looks for my clothes, which makes me happy.
