So. To my musician, writer, and artist friends--you have plenty of fodder for the next zillion years. The next four years should give you material for a lifetime.

To my activist and intellectual friends: take a breather, then plot the revolution.

Ego Likeness is playing _sacrosanct_ at Nanci Raygun this coming Monday. It appears Silent Muse will again open for them. Now, those of you who didn't show (most of you)--please find a ride to the club Monday night. Otherwise, why should EL ever come back? The turnout last time was pitifully low and I know there are many reasons--lack of publicity, Monday nights are work/school nights, it was Labor Day weekend, Faith and the Muse played DC, etc. . .

but those of you who don't need to worry about being functional on Tuesday--please come out. I'm going to try to flyer here in C'ville tomorrow. If anyone can flyer Richmond, please do so. I have no idea if the promoters have already done so, but more really can't hurt, provided they're not posted illegally.

Ego Likeness rocks. Really--you should all know this as they practically have a cult devoted to them here in Charlottesville. They get played regularly on subshock. They sound damn good in any club, no matter how quirky the sound system or acoustics. And, honestly, if y'all don't support local and regional bands, promoters are going to have a harder time luring not-so-local acts.

I'll be there, of course, despite my allergy problems and asthma and chronic health issues. I sort of have to go, what with being married to explodingcat. Being able to see both bands will somewhat compensate for my crappy "staying alive" issues. I really should just buy a new respirator.
