i had lunch with someone i've known of online for quite a few years (a fellow wombat). she was fun and interesting, so i'm glad work let up enough to let her out for lunch. we ran into my friends [livejournal.com profile] xiane and her boy stu. :)

last night, i made khatchapuri. it's one of my favorite foods, but i rarely make it. last night, however, i discovered that the bread machine could be my friend. ;)

khatchapuri is a georgian food... you start with a good dough, form it into an oval, fill with cheese/butter mixture (i use dry farmer's cheese, suluguni--a traditional cheese to use, and butter). then you bring up the edges of the oval to lay just over the cheese and pinch the ends together, making a boat. :) then bake.

boy was quite happy. next time, i might mix in some goat or sheep cheese, though, for a slightly sharper taste.

the rest of dinner was leftovers... we sauteed the previous night's green beans with butter and leftover broccoli. YUM!
