The shelter claimed lab mix, which I assume means pit mix. ;) I think Brandon said he was an owner surrender, along with a foster sibling that has already been adopted out.
Brandon's area has been hit very hard by the housing crisis. I imagine that might be the reason for the surrender. Jax is super friendly, well socialized, house trained, etc. The only thing he does is pull at the leash, so I recommended Brandon pick up a Gentle Leader.
I haven't asked if the dog's been in the pool yet. ;)
You know, I'm not sure I see any terrier in him. He's gorgeous though. There's definitely some sort of lab in him -- probably some pit -- but my guess is mostly lab and some hound.
In other pictures, I'd even guess at some border collie or australian shepherd or something. He has a white chest with gray spots. So pretty. Brandon needs to put those online, too.
He doesn't look very pit to me, but I do know a lot of shelters label as labs rather than pits because there are city ordinances to not keep pit bulls. It's sad... pit bulls are very sweet.

Oh, man, I want a dog. Not yet, I have to wait, but still.
