The Badlands and mountains did steal all the moisture from me booty, mitts, and long tresses, so I fear I'll be needin' to oil up on a regular basis from here to Tortuga. If I didn't know better, I'd accuse those scurvy bilge rats of replacin' me Vidal Sassoon with grog . . . used grog, if you get me point.

I'm in them thar mountians now, and I'm a) allergic to something here and b) dry everywhere except my sinuses.

Lotion and hair masque are my friends.

My allergies got significantly better above 8000 feet. They were horrid down in Boulder. In fact, I felt better above 12000 feet than I did at 6000 feet. I found it *much* easier to breathe. I'm not sure what that means. ;)

I think I'm going to lose 4-6 inches of hair. For your hands, you might try shea butter or whatever oil you like. In the badlands, I had no shower, but I did have access to hot air hand dryers. I slathered sweet almond oil on my hands and face and gave myself warm oil treatments that way.
