all a'kerfluffle
I'm getting sick of my nick. It was a legitimate nickname given to me by a friend, but it's starting to chafe. Perhaps this mood will pass, perhaps I'll buy a rename token.
My mood has been a bit antisocial. I'm happy to see boy, my dog, and a few friends, but I'm not in the mood for large gatherings. I don't even want to go to the dog park. Sometimes these moods pass in a day, but this one has lasted. I think I was a bit too social for the week around Hallowe'en.
My mood will probably improve as I catch up on laundry.
The days have been amazingly warm. I'd prefer a brisker wind and an icy nip to the air, but I'll deal. I've been able to get some minor pruning done, but without rain to soften the ground I can't plant any more bulbs. I'm quite tempted to just toss them on the ground and cover them with mulch. I might do that, yet.
For the last couple months, I've been aimlessly tossing cosmos seeds in neglected corners of the yard. Next spring, I'll buy more colors and sow them. In a couple years, late summer should bring a riot of color.
I'm thinking of replacing the boxwoods with pineapple sage. No, it's not winter hardy in my AgZone, but it doesn't smell like an ancient litterbox, either.
I'm going to go curl up with a book and the Sad Lives of Hollywood Lovers ep.
