This feels like summer and I don't like it.

It's 83F (28C) outside right now. It's 78F (25C) inside. We need to replace our through-the-wall AC unit at some point--or remove it and spray it down with a biocide to kill the mold growing in it. We have ceiling fans in three rooms. I can't open the windows due to all the plants spewing pollen.

I think I'm going to miss having central air. Maybe we can afford to add an evaporative coil and all that jazz in a few years.

I can be comfortable so long as I don't wear too much and I don't hold the laptop. Right now, though, I'm wearing a light shirt, a light skirt, and holding the laptop.

*pants*

I just put the hummingbird feeder up and I'm ready for winter.

dark curtains are a cheap, easy way to quickly cut down on temperature and encourage naturalism, both of which will assist the de-frying process.

Our soffits/overhangs are wide, this being a ranch-style home. We have blinds. Curtains encourage dust mites. My husband can't stand an entirely darkened house during the day--since the windows are small, it would be stifling.

A whole house fan in the attic is probably going to be the first step.

Aye, that's an option. New windows will probably happen first. We do have decent windows and storm windows, but they're original.

Never fear, Nanner-'Public doesn't stock clothes for women with boobs.

Don't know what [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat would say, but that wouldn't bother me much. ;-)
