Naphcon-A did pretty well by me without any of the side effects of Patanol. I don't know if it would work for you or not, but it might be worth checking out. Plus Naphcon-A isn't prescription.

I'm allergic to one of the preservatives. I'd love to be able to buy drops for my eyes OTC, but there aren't any that I'm not allergic to. :/

Naphcon is actually the only one whose preservatives I'm not allergic to...Patanol turned my eyelids into 40-grit sandpaper. It's funny how different people react in different ways to those things. Ah well, sorry I couldn't help.
