*grumble*

want to look for ikeya-zhang.

apparently, opera glasses and kid's binoculars (7x35) just won't cut it in this haze.

oh, the treeline might have something to do with it, too.

i even climbed the pasture fence to sit atop it.

not climbing INTO the pasture. don't have my redlight handy. and redlight isn't all that useful for avoiding cowpies.

and i'm so stuffed up, i can't taste a thing. my ear is less painful, but my head's clogged. i've resorted to using WAY too much pepper and garlic in my food just so i feel like i'm eating SOMETHING.

i just searched for it, not knowing what it was - and the article said that after the 4th, it would be visible in the early morning sky in the east. maybe you should try in the morning?

northwest in the evening, northeast in the morning... and around the 10th, it should become circumpolar, north of casseopeia on past the big dipper. but by then, it'll be quite faint.

as for morning.

ew. that would require staying up and i'm not allowed to do that right now. ;) sure as heck not getting UP. ;)
