well, one beneficial aspect of being awake at this hour... tomorrow, i should be doing just fine for the venus transit, provided it's not clouded over here.

I completely missed it! I didn't even know about it until just recently (missed this post somehow)! Did you get to see it? Was it awesome? I found some vids online, but that's not really the same.

I watched some webcasts and browsed satellite and telescope images before I went to bed. It was still foggy and *super* hazy around 5am, so I didn't bother--I went to sleep. It was so hazy this afternoon, the *nearby* ridges were outlines... the mountains weren't even visible.
