first things first--

anyhow...

the_dawning. We had two DJ's--DJ Rift and MC Tram, also known as ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
nothingoth and pizza_tram. We also had two different musical acts--Nicki Jaine and anathema device.
I really liked Nicki Jaine. Her voice is amazing--resonant and rich--and her literary voice is also pretty darn witty and deep. She moved with ease from piano to guitar. I noticed that she tended to finger-pick her guitar, though boy think she used a plastic pick for at least two songs. She definitely didn't use it all the time. I'm looking forward to seeing her again when she feels like making the drive down. She made an effort to chat with folks in the club and really seemed happy to be down here. And damn... I've never seen *anyone* work the flapper aesthetic to such success.
anathema device put on a good show. they really seem to enjoy being on stage. Most of my pictures are of the vocalist and bassist, since they're easiest to see. But look--I managed to find the keyboard player and drummer. The vocalist loves his mike. the bassist amuses me quite a bit.
amelia with her Razor doll.originalcynic has been posting her comic lately and Razor is one of her characters. she's thinking about selling him, but she's quite attached, if anyone is interested, you could attempt to cajole her with large amounts of cash, caffeine, and licorice.
I know some folks on a not-goth-related list I'm on have been wondering about EGL (elegant goth lolita)... ask M about it. black lightmbickers

Kristi is wearing PsySheep dreads byashbet. her husband seems sweet. i need to get a chance to chat with him in a not-so-noisy space. Kristy with M.
DJ MC Tram was spinning some *great* songs. i wish we could've stayed longer, but we were tired and left 10-15 minutes early.

my fabulous outfit, bought at a thrift store in Adams Morgan several years ago... it had a tag reading something like 1967 and $27. needless to say, i had to have it and bought it for about 20--it smelled of smoke (building nearby had burned, so there was some smoke damage to most of the goods in this place). it was worth a bit more, i think. it's hand made and fits me like a glove. it fit a bit better before my boobs grew an extra cup or three, but hey--that's life.
