I don't mind putting bugs outside... heck, i've put huge house centipedes outside with nary a cringe.

but camel crickets.

ugh. these things are huge. and the ones we have aren't nearly as big as the ones in DC, but... they're so LEGGY and MEATY... they're almost spider like, with far greater jumping capabilities. and they seem to like to taste the carpet.

i haven't managed to catch one of the three different ones we have in the house *yet*.

and i'm the one who has to do it, since they scare the living daylights out of boy.

Oh no...is that why you were up so late again? Chasing one of those around? I don't see them that often...but I actually do make a brief effort to get them now...But they're usually too fast and icky for me, too.
