stuff

Today I took [livejournal.com profile] originalcynic home to her house in the boonies. There was lots of doggie love to be had. Yay! The puppy likes to eat hair, too. I have long hair. He can jump. Oy.

Anyhow, came home... had some food. Just took a shower because I was sniffly. Didn't know if I was reacting to dogs or the cats or pollen (probably all of the above. most dogs are okay for me, but lots of dogs + pollen allergies will make me react). I irrigated my nasal passages, too, which might help. i know my allergies have been hellacious when my ears itch constantly. most of the time, i just have skin-nose-sinus issues, but lately, my ears have been acting up.

My shower was hot, so now I have to wait for my bp to get back up where it belongs. then we might go for a walk. i want to go for a walk, even though i should stay inside away from pollen now that i've showered. it's probably time to start eating the guaifenesin like candy again.

i wish i could find a nasal spray that actually worked, but every one i've tried (prescription) has made things worse or had icky side effects.

a good nasal spray really would be nice. flonase worked for me for a couple years, without too bad of side effects, but in this last year i've noticed its effectiveness dwindling. *sigh*

If you go for a walk, come tap-tap on the back door if you like. I should be either dying the hair or working on making products before I have to pack everything up. :)

Mmm guaifenesin. I've wondered if I should start taking it, but one of my new meds has started drying out my mucous membranes all over, so probably not. It was just an idle thought as I was going through my big catalog o' supplements yesterday.

This catalog has a multivitamin for CFIDS/FM people that contains lots of stuff that normally you have to get separately at a health food store for a high price. This vitamin's cheap, too, but it also contains SOY. How rude of them. I'm going to email them and ask them to make a non-soy version.

I hate nasal sprays. All they generally do is cause nasea and nosebleeds. Blargh.
