chocolatey goodness

yesterday at the little gourmet convenience store in Nellysford, I scored a bar of Valor Milk Chocolate. 38% cacao, with cocoa nibs. It's soy-free, obviously, else I'd not have bought it.

It is SO GOOD.

Whole Foods has been out of their organic imported from switzerland soy-free chocolate, so I've been suffering without a chocolate fix. Yes, I have chocolate chips in the freezer, yes I have chocolate ice cream, but that's not the same as a bar of milk chocolate.

this isn't overly sweet, either. it's very high quality for an inexpensive bar ($1.69 for 2.6oz/75g)

the darvocet and naproxen are kicking in. darvocet isn't much good for fibro, but it still helps joint pain, which is handy...

speaking of chocolate, who would like to come over and make chocolate chip cookies with me today? i need to wash dishes, but i also need cookies.

I would, but alas, I'm many thousands of miles away. I will be making chocolate chip cookies *here*, though, so I'm there in spirit :).

After workokay? Or is this a during-the-day project?

I could bring lemon-lime granita for munching or front-porch drinks. I plan to make some today.

since it's that time o'the month, it'll take me nearly all day to do the dishes. yeah, after work would be great!

tom and i have Die Another Day to watch this evening or tomorrow evening... if you're up for a bond flick, you could join us. if not, we can save it for tomorrow.

I could definitely be in a mood for Bond flicks. I'll start trundling over around 5:30, if that works for you. I shall bring lemony goodness (it's lemons, limes, water, and sugar) and we can make slushies for while we're baking.

that works.

i have a citrus juicer attachment for the kitchenaid mixer, too.

I have hands and a plastic cut-'em-in-half-and-squish-'em-around-the-pointy-bit one, so I'm set. :) I need to get it frozen before I come over, or we'll be having slushies for dessert.

Speaking of which, I'll get that started now.
