(no subject)

well, i found *one* vinyl glove, so i only have one potentially orange hand.

now... i'm tired enough to sleep, but i need to wash this out in three hours. of course, i *could* sleep with the henna in, but that could be (a) messy and (b) generate unpredictable color...

and this stuff is staining *quickly*. within seconds of getting it on my skin, i had orange stain... oooo-eeee....

I have never seen it like that..just by itself..I know what henna is and know it puts the reddish color in your hair.

Never seen it like what?

I buy it in pure, powdered form. It's just that plants grown in different soils and climates produce a different color. I mix powder from plants that produce red with plants that produce darker reddish-brown. I mix it with boiling water (boiled with cloves), red wine, and lemon juice.

Maybe I should have said in natural form. I have only seen it as advertised in hair color kits like clairol.

This is kind of a nonsequitor, but we seem to have a lot of LJ friends in common, so this is a note to tell you that I've added you to my list. :)

Hope the henna goes well.
