Rockstar mullet kiddo
So, we travelled to NJ and back for a few days immediately surrounding Christmas. We were originally planning on staying home, but several of
explodingcat's high school friends planned to gather for a mini-reunion, so we changed our plans. His folks certainly enjoyed seeing Ronan on Christmas Day.
Yesterday was gorgeous, so after spending most of it outdoors, I assembled the sweet little roadster my parents gave Ronan for the holidays. It has a steel body and real rubber wheels, so it's great for the sidewalk. (We keep it hidden in the mud room, however, because those real rubber wheels do a real doozy on this real allergic mom.)
It's really fabulous. I posted a pic of him on it yesterday. Yes, he deems the fire helmet totally and completely necessary and I really do have to agree that it completes the experience.
I took down the tree last night so that we can make room for the gift we've given him. It's a train table, but he doesn't know it yet. Still unassembled in its box.
Off I go, he napped for three hours today and is now demanding his "bike" helmet, his word for any headgear or any item that might possibly be placed on one's head.
