Yip!

Still alive. Haven't had phone service since Sioux Falls, SD.

Currently in Hot Springs, SD, where I have brief access to wifi (need to get back on the road). Found an espresso bar, surviving nicely. Mmmm, coffee.

The Black Hills were awesome. So were the Badlands. I think every state park needs begging burros.

I'm not smuggling any prairie dogs. Honest.

Will be in CO tomorrow. Staying somewhere in WY tonight, after we swing through Nebraska.

Jericho is really stinky. We need to find a kennel/groomer/dogwash in the next couple of days, or I'm gonna have to start sleeping outside the tent.

I'm so glad to read you survived the attack. I was really worried. :)

It was a hairy (well, squiggly) situation there for a bit.

We're in Cheyenne tonight. We heard the weather report, thought about the rating on our sleeping bags, and promptly drove until we found civilization (well, pet-friendly hotels). I figure we'll be in your neck of the woods tomorrow, though if you're super busy, we'll kick around the state for several days.

We do want to do the railway thinger you sent me, Cog? Any thoughts about your availability? We're gonna find a kennel for Jerry for a couple or so days, mostly so that we can do a few more things. We have at least one recommendation, but we'll call around.

Depending on weather, we might look for hotels, cabins, or lodges for a few nights. Yarrrr!

It's very rainy here tonight, but is supposed to be sunny the next few days.

My week is free, so let's have fun! :)

I'm gonna have to start sleeping outside the tent.

This is why you are the strangest person I know. Any one else would make the dog sleep outside the tent.

Are you sure it's the dog?

I bet it's the prairie dogs.

It's SO bizarre to know that so many people I know are currently in SD. ::blink:: You three, plus [livejournal.com profile] kizlj and [livejournal.com profile] aussie_nyc are also vacationing there (on a driving kind of vacation like yours, only without the camping.)

huggles!

No doubt we were all near each other, because as far as I can tell there is absolutely nothing in SD but Sioux Falls in the East and Badlands/Black Hills/Mt Rushmore in the West. It's all awesome!

You were all in Sioux Falls-- Aussie called me from there. Heehee, I wonder if you were there at the same time. Weeeeird. Check out [livejournal.com profile] kizlj for her write up on their adventures.
