i just noticed something.
when we climbed to humpback rocks awhile back, i thought it was an 800-ft ascent.

no.

the elevation is 3650ft at the rocks. and 2360ft at the parki ng area. the trail is a little less than a mile from lot to rocks.

that's an altitude climb of 1290 feet. phew. no wonder i had to stop to rest every 50 yards.

i should write a book on hiking with major fibro and mild CFIDS periods. it will be calle d "stop and listen to your heart pound in your ears" or "if i sit on this cliff long enough, will someone airlift me home?"
