Mmmm, bread.

When we still had a bread machine, I made a loaf for Tom almost every week. We got rid of it, though, for several reasons--the biggest one was that I couldn't use it for myself and it's kinda silly to keep it around for just one person. We have yet to replace it.

Last night, we baked bread for probably the first time since Ronan was born. It's very nice. I've made soda bread several times over the last year, but this is the first yeasted bread I've made in a good long while.

I used teff, quinoa, and brown rice flours. Almond meal. And a mix of potato and corn starch. We're on a pantry busting week due to low finances. After payday, I can buy more starch, since I'm now almost completely out of all of them and the little bit of cornstarch remaining is earmarked for the baby's butt.

Mesob is closing--Just Curry is taking over their lease (which is excellent, as Just Curry is losing their space at the end of this month.

I never did eat at Mesob--they don't make their own injera and the stuff they buy contains wheat or barley flour, so I can't have it. I do miss good Ethiopian food.

I didn't know Mesob don't make they own injera. That makes me said in so many ways.

I've yet to eat at Just Curry, but I have heard many wonderful things. Must try it!

Mesob is moving, not closing, by the way.

I should call and ask if they still order their injera from elsewhere.
