Mmmm, poop.

[livejournal.com profile] explodingcat: I think . . . and this might be hard . . . but I think it would be good to not act horrified at diaper time. I'd hate for the baby to pick up on the disgust.
[livejournal.com profile] krasota: *blank stare*
[livejournal.com profile] explodingcat: I mean, we don't want the urchin to associate our visceral reactions with zirself.
[livejournal.com profile] krasota: I'm generally not horrified by diaper changing. (Yes, there are exceptions.)
[livejournal.com profile] explodingcat: Yes, but I would be.
[livejournal.com profile] krasota: You pick up the dog's poop.
[livejournal.com profile] explodingcat: Yes, but his poop is just really nice.
[livejournal.com profile] krasota: *dies with laughter*
[livejournal.com profile] krasota: *continues laughing as boy goes on about nice, firm Jericho poop.*
[livejournal.com profile] jericho_the_dog: *runs over to boy for pets and reassurance as I continue laughing*

I think that Diaper Time! is a great album title. Imagine the touring taglines!

I agree with Boy.

For one thing you can use a shovel to clean up dog poo without CPS getting involved. :)

I've never heard of poop being described as nice until now :)

I have to say scooping the cat's litter box out is way less gross than changing a poopey diaper. There's definitely a difference. I don't think I'd refer to cat or dog poop as "nice" though. ;)

Dom describes doggie poo as nice... of course now that they are raw fed it's a lot better than kibble crap.

In general, S.'s poo diapers are not all that bad, especially as we now only have one every other day, on average (he has not started solid food yet and with that comes more disgusting diapers--I am not looking forward to it). But, there have been times when it has smelled so bad that I have gagged and my eyes have almost teared up. Seriously. It is the worst when he goes several days without pooping (normal for an exclusively breast-fed six month old)--it seems to fester and get extra-bad. EW. Then there has been the joy of saving the diaper for the doctor to inspect (when we've feared he was ill). One of the worst smells, however, is antibiotic pee which we've had a lot of as he was on two different anitbiotics in the NICU and then two more rounds in the past couple of months for ear infections. That's some strong smelling pee.

You will be amazed at how often you discuss poop once the baby arrives. Serioulsy. It's all about the poop. [livejournal.com profile] ptor calls the logbook we keep (yes, we still log all diapers, feeds, sleep and medications) the "poo bureaucracy". :)
