(no subject)

Tonight's dinner menu, all grilled up in the mountains:

Foodstuff grilled served with a balsamic chili dijon dressing:
veggie kabobs (onions, zucchini, mini peppers, cherry tomatoes)
broccolini
baby bella mushrooms
vidalia onions

foil-dinner potato + onions
grilled sun-dried tomato & garlic gluten-free bread with chèvre and roasted garlic
eggplant with chèvre

For the guys:
catfish with salsa fresca
hamburgers with provolone and grilled vidalias

grilled banana boats (chocolate chips + bananas, no marshmallows)

I also had a salad with heirloom lettuces and tomatoes and red onions and a parmsean peppercorn buttermilk dressing, but we were happy enough with everything else.

We took a small grill, so everything came out bit by bit and we ate things as they were ready/hot. It was so good. Yum.

That sounds fabulous.
(You have now answered a random musing I was musing earlier about whether it was possible to eat vegetarian and gluten-free. Thank you. :-))

Yummy heirloom tomatoes. I will be so sad when it's not tomato season anymore.

I need a source for heirlooms that isn't Balducci's because, dude. $5.99/lb.

WF is also 5.99/lb. I buy them from farmers right now (or yank 'em from my garden), but when I need tomatoes out of season, I generally get vine-on as they're cheaper than hothouse heirloom. But oh. . . . the flavor.

I think I'm gonna broil some tomorrow.
